“ This place has the best burgers in Cartersville. However you have to get there before 2pm. As they are breakfast and lunch spot. ”
“ This was our first visit at The Rooster Shack and we will certainly be back. The waiter ensured we had good service and our meals came out warm and on time. The chicken waffles with a side of mixed berries and their iced tea was great! ”
“ I moved here from California during the summer & I just found this gem about 4 months ago. It's become a staple!! My entire family loves it and we always look forward to meeting there. The food is amazing, the service is so friendly and the restaurant is very clean...love love love this place! ”
“ This is an awesome and affordable spot for breakfast! I have traveled a LOT and I believe these are the absolute best biscuits I have ever had! No jam or jelly added! And, yes I realize we are in Martins country. . Every dish we served was excellent. On our table we had the pancakes, cheese grits (another comment of these are the best I have had) quesadilla, your way omelette, biscuits & gravy, burrito, rooster chips and the rooster basket (w/the fried chicken is the bomb). Really good coffee too! We had a small wait on Saturday morning but well worth it! Great service! This is a must stop!! Sorry no pics we were hungry and dug in! ”
“ Best breakfast around!! The biscuits are amazing. If you like real corned beef hash this is a place to get it. Service is fast, friendly staff. Simple breakfast menu that is just like home cooked food. ”
“ Today my Son and myself went to the Rooster Shack for the 1st time and I have to say that we were very impressed with the size of our burgers. I got the Charm burger with cole slaw and he got the same with just chili and cheese. The burgers were cooked to perfection and were very tasty, Cooked on Texas toast was a delightful twist. The fries were a little undercooked is the reason for the 4 star and Im sure they would have made it better but I hate to ask once it's served. The place is basically a burger place but I understand their breakfast is fantastic so I will have to try them out for that! Do yourself a flavor and try this hidden gem a try. I think you will be happy you did! ”
“ Fried chicken biscuit is a must try! It was fantastic. Best I've ever had. The place doesn't look like much when you drive up, but don't let that scare you off. Very welcoming and comfortable environment with great service. Food was up fast. Very fresh and hot. Takes you back to simpler times with energetic young staff. ”
“ This is a nice local spot for breakfast. Prices are on par and actually by today's standards very fair. I had the biscuit gravy with country fried steak. The biscuit was a perfect size about 3" and it came with 2 pieces of steak. The steak is a fried from frozen bought variety but so is about everyone else in this business. It was good but not great. The biscuit was very good and complimented the steak and sausage gravy well. The gravy was ample for the portion and may or may not have been from a mix. It was very creamy and good with small pieces of sausage . The seasoning was on point for me and I didn't need to add salt, only a little extra black pepper. The coffee was hot and strong . Service was in point with just one waiter but he hustled and did a good job of servicing the tables . This was a Tuesday visit and I came at opening so it was not extremely busy. The ambiance is of an old country diner which is appropriate as that is what it is. Lots of locals here and most folks seemed to know each other which is a good sign . Overall I would definitely come here again and try other fare from the menu. ”
“ Loved this small but delicious little cafe. Family and locally owned, everyone there was attentive and helpful. Clean tables, utensils, glasses, and restroom. Hard working people who made a wonderful chicken biscuit and gravy. The rounds were great too and the gravy was tasty. I loved it so much I bought something for my husband who couldn't come. Refills were free and plentiful. Service was friendly and efficient, I will def be back, but be warned- the door to enter is NOT on the back lot, but in the large parking lot where it looks like it is drive through. So glad they let me in or would have missed out on a great breakfast! ”
“ The food here is amazing. Such a friendly family that runs this little diner. If you were familiar with the old Whistle Stop that was in Cartersville, the Rooster Shack is in the old location. All of the food I have had here is absolutely delicious. They are open 7-2 each day except Sunday when it is 8-2. Great addition to the breakfast and lunch scene in Cartersville. Best grits I have eaten in my life!!!! I love grits and these are the bomb!! ”
